Artist description
Tom and Lori began as a multi-media collaboration
between Tom Dougherty and Lori Brenna (aka Brenna Sage)
while at Lewis and Clark College in 1984. The album,
"Hands" was recorded in the Electronic Music lab
at Lewis and Clark College that summer and released
in September, 1984.
Tom had just finished and undergraduate program
in Psychology and went on to study Psychology
of Perception at the Claremont Graduate School,
earning his PhD, later
working with Laurie Anderson and Pauline Oliveros at
her Deep Listening Retreats. Tom's website can be found at

Lori was working as Secretary to the Dean of Students
at the time, having attended Lewis and Clark as a music
major for three years. She later returned home to the
Oregon coast and began music directing community theatre
productions, moving to Portland, Oregon in 1989 to
continue her work in theatre. After adding 80 shows to
her credit in the next 12 years, she moved to New York
City where she continues to work in the theatre. Her website
