Artist description
Since the formation of the band in 2001, Awakened has refused to let go of their spiritual roots. The result is a driving mix of the power and fun of Christian rock with the dynamics and sheer emotion of something stemming from progressive emo, but going far beyond. Awakened's sound has been described as hard rock, provocative emo, alternative, and mellow punk with a splash of acoustic melancholy. In other words if the bands Smashing Pumpkins, Our Lady Peace, Radiohead, Jars of Clay, and Coal Chamber were to be abducted by aliens and spliced together in some crazy alien experiment the result would be Awakened. |
