Artist description
Stryker exploded onto the L.A. club scene last spring in what can only be described as a phenomenon. His lyrically provocative, club shakin' rap jams quickly caught the ear of top promoters and fans alike. His experienced dancers provided the sort of jaw dropping action you would expect from hip-hop's finest. As his popularity on the local scene swelled, Stryker signed to Mobcity Records and headed into Paramount to complete his first commercial release- The Spectrum Chronicles. The first single off the album (the key to his impressive club success)- Stryker's Club- has all the making of a nationwide radio and video hit. The catchy hook and bumpin' rhythm track are thoroughly addictive even on the first listen. Make no mistake though, the album is packed with potential hits. The overall project possesses the sort of thematic and musical complexity, characteristic of the most enduring albums. That's a good reason why you can expect Stryker to become a dominant force in the hip-hop arena. |

Artist History
There is a segment of every classroom of kids that is intelligent and imaginative, but for various reasons does not fit in. Although these kids hail from different backgrounds, they grow up with a common feeling of rage and refusal to accept the way the world works. They search for avenues of escape rather than conforming. Stryker was one such kid who found escape from the world as a self-styled player. While his rage and rebellious nature drove him to drinking, drugs, and numerous confrontations with teachers and police, his womanizing antics led to all sorts of interesting adventures. In 1994, Stryker began to record these adventures in his first rap album Skyway. His second album Sundown was completed in 2000. Recently, he created yet another collection of lyrically-provocative rap songs. The world Stryker depicts is both clever and entertaining, but also true-to-life. It is full of exotic women, crazy stunts and numerous run-ins with his enemies. Anyone knowing Stryker, personally, can attest to the strong parallel between his life and his music. |
