    Artist description
Kevin Patrick Baiko has been charming audiences for over a decade with his inspiring music, gentle spirit and off-the-wall humor. His songwriting is eclectic and well suited to his vocal and instrumental versatility. Borrowing from Country, Folk, Rock, Gospel and even World musical traditions, his songs are as timeless as his musical style is difficult to categorize. KPB is currently promoting his new album, Fool’s Gold, a double CD collection of 22 original songs. He is available for bookings, public and private, radio interviews and performances. He especially enjoys playing before church audiences. "While I don’t consider my songs to be specifically religious, my spirituality certainly comes through in my lyrics. Church crowds tend to be more receptive to my message than a place like Hooters. (KPB)"

    Artist History
KPB's music is the reflection of a wide range of musical and mystical experiences. His earliest musical influence was the folk music family camps he attended throughout his childhood in California. He began writing songs at the age of 18, recording his first album Dirt and Divine at the age of 21. That same year he got accepted to Eastern Virginia Medical School. While he continued to perform around the Tidewater area as much as his schooling would allow, his spiritual quest developed in concert with his dissatisfaction as a medical student. "Medical school just wasn't answering the questions that interested me, like 'What is healing?’(KPB)" In his search, KPB explored a wide range of spiritual paths and healing traditions and came to see Life itself as a healing journey, especially when approached with a positive frame of mind. For KPB the healing arts and performing arts had became one in purpose. "Music can be healing in many ways, but I believe that music’s real power is its ability to influence attitude. (KPB)" KPB started his most recent project, Fool's Gold, while living in the Shenadoah Valley, where he was inspired by its folk and gospel heritage. His folk music origins offered a down to earth context to express the Universal Themes KPB had come to embrace. "Fool’s Gold was my attempt to address the many challenges that we face in life with a positive attitude. Cast in such Light, challenges can become initiations to higher understanding. (KPB)"
    Group Members
Primarily a solo performer, KPB occasionally teams up with family and friends. In the studio, he is a fearless multi-tracker, layering rich harmonies over folksy instrumentation. And when the arrangement calls for a sound beyond his ability to personally conjur, he relies on the talents of a few notable musicians. The list of guest musicians in his most recent recording project, Fool's Gold, include: Lead guitarist from rock group Wide Alive John Baldwin, Nashville veteran violinist Marissa Barkey, Multi-talented folk artist Janice Benner on concertina, Singer's Glen bass player Jim Eckerd, Blueridge Mountains award winning fiddler Wilbur "Two Gun" Terry, and Nashville veteran drummer Travis Whitmore.
