Artist History The band formed 'for a laugh' in 1996 as a punky, often drunken release for its founding members Taco and Gav. At university the pastiche was brought to live events, with sets designed to alienate those without a sense of humour.Violating chart pop music and mutating it into the heaviest of metallic aural substance, whilst making traditional metal songs into sing-along pub folk. Along the way the two protagonists worked in another project, where a lot of the material was written. The Barstudz are firmly stepping out of the arena of the tongue-in-cheek, and have their sights firmly set on making massive ripples in the UK's tired, monotonous guitar music scene. We are coming to change the world.
