Artist History
Punk rock band The Wims was created in Austin TX in the summer of 2002 by frontman, Eduardo. The original band consisted of 4 members; Blake Bolton- Lead guitarist, Nigel O'hearn- Bassist, Eduardo- rhythm guitarist and lead vocals, Lucas Sutton- Drummer. Things changed when Nigel persuaded Eduardo to let Marc in the band. This led to conflicts over the number of guitarists in the band. Conflicting genres of music between Blake and the rest of the band lead to the decision to expel Blake from the band. After Blake was ousted, the band had drummer problems, Lucas just got in some deep trouble for some serious stuff. By now the band had written 3 songs, 'In the End There's always Your Palm' 'song' (later to be called 'project: eskimo') and 'Not about Marc'. As if things couldn't go worse, Nigel, the bassist, quit because of differences within the band. Nigel now is the frontman of the band, Thaddeus. Soon though, the two remaining members of the band, Marc and Eduardo, found a new bassist in Jason Castro. They also found a possible drummer, Joel Farris. This only lasted one practice as Joel joined the ranks of Thadius. With a drummers in desperate demand The Wims found Forrest Antonio, Sophmore Skateboarder with a nack for the drums. After a rental of a set, Forrest was put to the test and rocked it. The Wims had its permanent members. Now with a growing song list and huge energy, The Wims rock at various gigs around Austin. |
