Artist description In Early 2002 the band recorded the tasty six song E.P. *Bang On Saigon Pussy*, which was considered one of the best new releases from a Winnipeg indie band that year. Known for their flamboyant live shows, red shirts with black ties, and post punk pop sensibility... the Fabulous Kildonans have more than enough of the *good stuff* to shred the jaded and tired world of ROCK to pieces.

Artist History Between the 3 members, they have at one time or another shared the stage with a variety of major label and influential bands including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Social Distortion, Circle Jerks, DOA, Meat Puppets, SNFU, Soul Asylum, Treble Charger, RATT, The Vandals, Crash Test Dummies and the Barenaked Ladies to name a few.

Group Members Mark Stretch Mark is literally a living legend. A killer bass playin punk rock veteran whos band *The Stretch Marks* were one of the 1st Canadian acts to make waves in the early California punk scene. Back in Winnipeg in the early 90s he formed and played in *Fools Crow* and later with the band *Honest John*. He has a strong passion for dance & owns his own bass. Sterling has made a name for himself as the *drummer who never tires* and enjoys playing 2 to 3 plus hour shows. This young hard hitting drummer has been slamming skins around Winnipeg for numerous years playing in a variety of local garage rock bands as well as lending his diverse drum talents to other types of music, most recently the hard drinking Irish band *Celtic Way*. A soft spoken, shy individual with a strong weakness for the ladies. Fat Johnny is a shredding guitar player who rocked with *Honest John* & *Celtic Way* from 1990 to 2000 and earlier with party punkers the *Dashboard Icons* and *Savior Machine*. Hes recorded and played on countless projects, only drives the van during the day, enjoys long walks and dry gin martinis with no less than 3 olives.

Press Reviews *God is a woman and she*s pro choice* CD REVIEW - Does Winnipeg really need another punk rock band? If said band is the Fabulous Kildonans, you*re damn right it does, bub. Starring singer-guitarist Fat Johnny, drummer Sterling and ubiquitous bassist and punk dinosaur Mark Stretch Mark - a man who deserves some sort of a lifetime achievement award if anybody does - the Kildonans are one of the few bands around that deserve their Fabulous designation. And we*re not talkin in some Designer Guys sense (though we*re fairly sure Steven and Chris would approve of their nifty matching red shirts and ties). We*re talking fab in the garage-punk sense - and that means searing guitar riffs, a propulsive and spot-on rhythm section, lyrics with a healthy dose of dumbbell humor, vocals that are snotty enough to be contagious, and urgent four-chord anthems that simultaneously swear allegiance to punk (without devolving into cliche) and rock out (without succumbing to self-parody). And if all that ain*t enough for ya, God is a woman and she*s pro choice also includes a surprisingly succesful revamp of Elvis Costello*s Running Out of Angels and a vocal cameo by local college radio god Cretin Rob.
