Artist description Azul plays what they have coined as "Life Metal". A unique and creative blend of agressive, driving and chaotic compositions blended constantly with melodic and delicate overtones. Not sticking to typical musical structures, Azul construct songs in unorthodox patterns and odd time signatures. Azual strives to blur the barriers of musical styles that influence them and to challenge listeners with a constant barrage of musical chaos.

Artist History Somewhere between 2 years in the making, Azul has already had it's share of trials and tribulations. Getting off the ground numerous times only to be prematurely shut down due to various band members not working out and leaving. Azul began with with the combination vocalist Josh McCoy and guitarists Ben Johnson and Mike Sellars relocating from small town of Idaho Falls, Idaho to Seattle in search of like minded musicians to complete their sound. After searching diligently for almost 2 years, Matt Stevenson came into the fold and amazed the 3 members with his skill as a bass player and his wide variety of influences. Not much later, drummer Matt "Sesh" Wilms joined the group to round out the group. Sesh's driving and hard hitting technique would be just what the group needed to bring the music to a new level.
