Artist description
The Thomas Moone Act consists of Erik Johnson on guitar, Peter Rich on bass, Micah Johnson on piano, and Anthony Cappoferri on drums. Thomas Moone rocks the Midwest from its Minneapolis home, with help from a family of rad fans. Each musician’s influences create a mish-mash of genres, painting a unique, user-friendly sound.
They’ve rocked the masses at the University of Minnesota’s annual Spring Jam celebration, as well as Riverstock and various outdoor venues. Set length varies; opening sets typically run 45 minutes-1 hour, and headlining sets run up to one and half hours.
Music has many aspects--the notes and beats, the intentions, the message--which all help a band connect with its audience just as Dr. Seuss hits the right nerve in children. Whether The Thomas Moone Act makes that connection or not, they hope you find at least one aspect of the music to take home with you.

Music Style
We all enjoy elements of bands ranging from Phish to funk to Thelonious Monk, pop-rock to hip-hop; we are music lovers. |
|
Musical Influences
Sound: We are all music lovers that draw from everything around us. It might be Miles Davis on minute, then Ayn Rand, or a sunset. Music is everywhere and in everything. It's just a matter of how hard you look, listen, and most importantly, feel. |
