Artist description The collective drive to make meaningful music was the foundation for the up and coming hardcore band My Villians Hero. What started as four kids rocking out in a garage in suburban Orlando quickly emerged into a functional local band. The boys scrounged for shows, made a mark at high school battle of the bands and quickly became a regular at the Trapper Keeper and Wills Pub, respected venues for new local bands. Once locals caught wind of the unique sound of the new group, more and more kids started coming out to mvH shows. Jb Park and Gil Sayfan's explosive vocals juxtapose plaintive melodies and powerful breakdowns highlighting the band's progressive sound. Austin Purvis and Gil's driving guitar parts give the songs movement and complexity. Ben Woodward's break neck percussion lends even more emotion and aggression to the band's sound. The diverse musical talents of the four band members sum up to a cohesive yet exciting overall sound. With influences ranging from the Smiths to Every Time I Die, My Villains Hero has a comprehensive sound reminiscent of Recover, Hot Water Music, and Saosin. My Villains Hero is just getting started and a lot is expected from this young and driven band. A self made success, the band single handedly booked its own shows, made its own fliers and distributed its own demos all while handling the vigors of high school. My Villians Hero is on its way to carving out its niche in the local Orlando music scene.
