Artist History
In the Spring of 2000, three close friends decided it was time to change the world around them. On a rainy afternoon stuck in doors solving the mysteries of the space time continuum and working out the kinks in the formula for cold fusion, Johanna Umana, Sophie P. Shepherd III and Abigail Factsler started the most influential girl-rock genius band of all time.
Now, sure, astrophysics and Rocket Science are fun hobbies for these three brains, but it all changed that day Abby put things into perspective. “What good does Trigonometry and calculating Pi all day do. Why, I say we start a band, a band to educate the masses!” So, with a combined IQ total of 626, the three started MENSA, a band destined to change the way the world looks at, well… everything.
Since that fateful day, MENSA has been writing mathematically flawless songs and playing shows to packed clubs with other acts such as Chief Sitting Bull and The Indian Givers, Shock-O-Late Shake, KKCake, Three’s a crowd, Wild and Crazy and Kids, MC Squared and of course, the greatest Rapper since sliced bread, Bensa.
Look towards a bright future from these intellectual dynamos, and never expect anything less than total genius.
