Artist History
Dutch Starskie is a Hispanic male out of Central, CT. His Background in the music field as a producer is unmatched, there is no caliber higher than the level this young man has created. Since 1995 Dutch has been an essential tool in the Hip-Hop scene around his home state of CT. This young mans talents have been used as an opening act for such groups as JA-RULE, JAY-Z, Foxy Brown, Jagged Edge, EPMD, and more.
Dutch started off with a local street group called, "U.N.I.T." which appeared on mix tapes and on college radio stations across the state. Eventually U.N.I.T. met up with a small record label out of Hartford, CT called "LUNA RECORDS."
After countless hours of practice, Dutch Starskie released his first solo album entitled, "THE LAST DRAGON" which is currently making a lot of noise on the under ground scene of Hip-Hop. Now in 2001 Dutch Starskie is is on the verge of releasing his second album. This demo contains four hot new tracks, this young man co-wrote with DeVega. Dutch is also the producer of his own TV show special on a Public Access Channel. The show airs every Friday form 10PM to 10:30PM and is entitled, "DUTCH POINT." The show deals with local Hip-Hop artist who need some light shined upon them. All these accomplishments are a testament that this young man is more than ready to be an ICON in the field of Hip-Hop.
The U.N.I.T. released their first single on a compilation album entitled, "LUNA REDORDS #13." Their track was number 12 and it was entitled, "LIFE IZ TROUBLE." New papers such as the HAROLD and the CURRENT followed up with front page articles which read, "Local Rap Group First CD." Soon after the group fell upon hard times and fell apart. With the love for the music and an ear for the melodies Dutch Starskie hit the streets and began hustling to save up for his own studio. After a year or so and thousands of dollars later his first goal was accomplished. Dutch Starskie was the owner of a 64 digital track home based studio.
