Artist description
Desolation Row is a band with a multitude of talent
and a somewhat socially aware demeanor. The musicians
that make up the band have spent much time refining
and developing technical proficiencies and a higher
understanding of their instrument. Each member has
delved into a variety of musical genres, performing,
studying, observing, and incorporating all styles of
of music for the further betterment of their own
unique musical self.
The band's original songs are comprised of many different
elements. From in your face riff based rock, to
almost improv-like songs based on chord progressions,
to the occasional complex structured song. The lyrics
are based on everything from personal experience, to social
injustices and immediate lifestyles pertaining to people
elsewhere, to literature and everyday life.
The band doesnt claim to be part of any specific
musical genre or sound, but employs influences from most
genres of popular music to create rock-based music
with a rough edge and an up-front awareness, utilizing
any means conceivable. |
