Artist History
I grew up in a little town in southern Minnesota called Blue Earth. I always loved to sing and got my first guitar in third grade. I never took a lesson I just pretended to play and I don’t remember what happened to that guitar. Next I got an electric guitar when I was fifteen but never took lessons and eventually I traded it for a portable TV. I was involved with sports all though my child hood. I loved baseball football tennis wrestling all sports a played them in school. When I was a senior I started to sing with a local band. I started just singing. Soon after that I leaned to play base guitar. Shortly after that I leaned to play guitar. When I started plying guitar something started to happen that was a surprise to me. I began writing. In fact for the first two years I never played anyone else’s songs. I wrote my own. I played in a heavy metal band in the early days then a rock band and a 50’s band. I also joined a classical rock band. boy we were good. I almost gave up after that but then I joined one of the most popular regional bands in the Minnesota ballroom circuit. I did that for a couple years and then went out on my own as a solo act. For eight years I traveled all over the upper mid west and all the way to Washington state and Alaska. That was fun but lonely. I finally decided to move to Nashville to pursue songwriting. I can’t believe how much living in Nashville has improved my writing but this town has some of the best writers in the world. If you want to hang in Nashville you just have to improve. Everybody’s good. Now I write, play writers nights, and record. Hopefully you will enjoy the songs I write because it’s been a long hard road. |
