Artist description
Out of the ashes of one of Las Vegas' most promising acts of the last few years, GOD AMONG MEN, comes a new breed of rock band. 33DEGREE may have a vocalist (Liz) and guitar player (Blair) in common with G.A.M., but that is where the similarities end. Adding another level of complexity and a decided sense of style to their presentation, 33DEGREE possess a magnetic stage presence bursting with intensity, sexuality and pure angst. Between Liz's introspective lyrics, Blair's tasty and often chaotic riffs, bassist Jesus' deep-rooted melodies and drummer Mackenzie's convulsive tribal beats, they stylistically combine to defy common definition. Their debut material is not metal, not emo, but rather a mix of influences that range from Deftones to Tori Amos to Radiohead, blending odd time signatures, melodic vocals and driving grooves. |

Artist History
33DEGREE came together after G.A.M. parted ways in early 2002. Liz and Blair relocated to L.A. and began the search for new band members. Around that same time, Mackenzie's band DEVILLE decided to call it quits also. Under random circumstances, the three met, rocked and began writing new material immediately. But the search for the perfect bassist went on for months, until finally Jesus appeared miraculously from Detroit. The search ended and thus was birthed a new baby by the name of 33DEGREE. The new membership proved solid and inspirational, pushing each member to new creative heights. The band has numerous successful gigs under their belt and are churning out gut-wrenching anthems at a steady pace... |
