stuff on this site(plus another NINE ripsnorting

www.soundclick.com/frankfishandthefins...many, many thanks for
supporting these
Zappa-esque, psychedelic, rock pranksters with
their Gibbering mad professor frontman and his 1001
surreal costume changes. The Abstract fish-obsessed
lyrics and systematic tremelo-arm abuse is still
very much alive and kicking on

Artist History
Infamous in the 1980s for their high energy,
over the top live performances where they combined
bizarre theatrical costumes with a mental fusion
of bluesy funk-rock, fish psychedelia. Rumoured to
be reforming to promote their recently released
CD album 'FRANK FISH and the FINS - live Volume 1' |

Press Reviews
'Frank Fish and the Fins played a terrific set
at the Jericho Tavern last Saturday. Frank
himself was without his trousers for most of
the gig. Not a pretty sight but nothing out of
the ordinary for him. What was a little over the
top was his behaviour at the climax of the show
when he smashed his electric guitar to pieces.
Steady on Frank."......Marc Lee -OXFORD MAIL.....
......"Frank Fish and the Fins round off the
compilation album with three slices of rock and
roll madness. Too Much Salt'n'Vinegar(on my Dead
Cod) is just OTT nuttiness. Secrets of the Deep,
their magnum opus, is big sound stuff and perhaps
a little too overblown. But Jacques Cousteau is
the freshest and funniest of the lot - and it even
has an ecological message!"....OXFORD MAIL.......
...."...their music is intricate and well written
but with the most ridiculous lyrics I have ever
heard.".....Simon Lock - OXFORD STAR |
