Artist description
Concerning Tänha is West Coast rock, with a British pop sensibility. Sequestered for months in the studio, this unusual band that some deem “The bastard child of Radiohead and Weezer”, has emerged with a level of production reminiscent of the Beatles with background vocals that would make Brian Wilson green with envy. They have a wonderfully interesting and passionate blend of styles which produces a unique sound that is immediately distinguishable. Vocals push and plead with the audience as if the fate each of each song rests in their hands.

Artist History
Android Ethic is West Coast rock, with a British pop sensibility. A common desire, a song in a coffee shop, the passion to create; these are the events that brought together the elements in "Android Ethic". The same minds that would sit and critically listen to records as children, the same minds that put down the fears of the past and future for an existence in the present, now make music with deep introspection and careful design, meticulously crafting lucid musical moments in the winter rain of Eugene, Oregon. The spring has come.
Transplanted from the burning Phoenix sun, Jonathan Moore, a Eugene convert, now lives in the liquid northwest sunshine. The music of his life has drifted though styles, as well as cities, and now has now settled into the passionate lead vocals and brilliant guitar sounds of "Android Ethic." His unique blend of experience, on the road and in the studio, has forged a commanding presence on stage, and intuitiveness behind the mixing console.
Growing up in the coffee shops of his hometown, Todd Edman experienced the wide variety of music that colors the canvas of the northwest. This immersion into the underground scene has created a unique musical sense in this Eugene native. The rubber band approach has led him across many state lines from Oregon to Southern California, and as far away as New York City, always to return home. Naturally comfortable on stage, and a critical listener in the studio, his are the hands on the bass guitar.
The overcast sky, the rich green leaves and needles, a careful examination of the tangle of thoughts; And now... Android Ethic.

Press Reviews
This, if we're lucky, is where the music industry is headed. It is the honest quality of emotional content that gives "Android Ethic" (formlerly "Concerning Tanha") a distinct presence. There is a depth within the richness of sound, haunting vocals, and finely tuned melodies. Every glint of song carries a methodical artistic touch.
...a listening experience that stirs a sense of introspection before the first song has ended." |
