Artist History
BILLY & THE LOST BOYS
Billy & the Lost Boys joined forces on June 12th, 2001.
Twelve days later, they played their first show.
After playing almost every weekend for close to 6 months, they recorded their debut CD "Strong Like Prawn" with Jesse Gander (d.b.s., Operation Makeout) in less than a week. The album was released by Teenage Rampage Records (Three Inches of Blood, the Ripcordz, S.T.R.E.E.T.S.) that summer, at which point bass player Rob Retread (the McRackins, the Retreads) retired from punk rock and drummer Al Deviant (the Deviantz, Witness Protection Program) went on to pursue other career options.
The new lineup, featuring Aaron Weiss of Ziggy's Fix and Shane Wilson of Jack Tripper, recorded their upcoming release "Breaking Down the Barriers that Break Down Your Music" in two weeks after playing together for only two months.
It is this faced paced work ethic that sets the standard for their live show and has enabled them to release two full length records and play close to one hundred live shows (including New Music West and a sold out record release party) in less than 3 years. |
