Artist History
The band was started by bassist Tim Tyson (age 20) and Guitarist Brad DePonds
(age 19). Soon the two were soon joined by Tyson's younger brother John (age 18) who
took the part of lead vocalist. Finally after a slue of different drummers the band found it's
final piece in Brad Norman (age 21). Thus Spud Monkey was born. The band has been
together for two and a half years now and has been playing out for almost as long. The
bands finds it musical voice in metal and hard rock sighting influences that range from
Alice in Chains to The Deftones. After the release of Spud Monkey's first professionally
recorded c.d., Nothing Special, one can expect the band's already large following will
explode into a really kick ass fireball. |
