Trucker, formed in 1995, is a three piece rock band based in Lawrence, Kansas. Their style and approach to music follows the dying breed of modern rock pioneers of the late 80’s and early 90’s. And even though the current media climate is not always friendly to these types of acts, Trucker has garnered national attention and airplay.

    Artist History
It began with a chance meeting between Trucker frontman Todd Johnson and Lawrence sensation Grant Fitch of Paw (formerly signed with A&M). Grant saw potential in Trucker and got them connected them with j. hall, the engineer who had just finished Paws latest record. From this collaboration Trucker’s four song Go Out (EP) was born and the nation began to take notice. - National television debut on USA Network’s Farmclub, hosted by former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield - 2000 - Awarded B.E.A.M. Grant from Jim Beam as an up and coming Midwest artist to watch; interviewed by Pat Dinizio of the Smithereens – 2000 - Named one of the Top 50 unsigned bands in America by the College Music Journal (CMJ) and the American Music Awards (AMA) - 2002 - Selected by CMJ as a Regional Semi-Finalist for the Nokia T-Mobile Opportunity Rocks Search for the Next Great Band Competition - 2002 - Trucker Todd is one of only three people in the nation selected by Rolling Stone as to attend the David Fishof Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp - 2003 Looking to build on their success, Trucker has again teamed up with industry professionals on the recent release of their first full-length LP “Nothing To See Here.” - Mixed by j. hall who is responsible for the success of their EP - Mastered by Brad Blackwood of Ardent Studios whose accolades include 3 Doors Down and ZZ Top Trucker wants to break through the manufactured sugar pop and rap rock to revive a rock genre that isn’t trying to sell soda and sneakers with every song. Each track has a unique feel allowing the album to strike individual listeners in different ways. With older tracks like “Neither Nor I”, “Never Wanna Be Without It” and “Junkies Anthem” partnered with newer tracks like “Do You Even Care”, “Two Days” and “Slow Down”, Trucker has chronicled their seven years of song writing into one CD. They can now feel free to put some of the songs they still believe in to rest and pursue new avenues of song writing and recording in the future.
