Artist description
3 apples high was a band consisting of Chris, Ruby, and Jorge. Sadly, in mid-year 2000 Chris passed away. Recently releases have been new studio projects by Jorge and completions of older projects by Chris, Ruby, and Jorge. All 3 apples high recordings are self-engineered and self-produced. |

Music Style
We try to write great songs. Our music spans all genres because the major labels hate this and we like to spite them. |
 |
Musical Influences
We admire artists who've been successful in their diversity of sound, like Ween, Led Zepplin, and the Beatles. We dig everything: punk, country, hip-hop, jazz, and stuff in between. |
 |
Artist History
Formed in early 2000. Saw moments of glory. Took quite a hit, but we're not done yet. |

Press Reviews
"THREE APPLES HIGH have a shiny, happy vibe, sort of laid back, with a bit of hip hop influence...Wayne Kramer (The MC5) asks the guitarist to teach him a fancy chord progression, begging the question, 'would you rather get a deal or a compliment from a rock icon?'" - Jackie McCarthy (MusicBlitz.com) "Urban-influenced alt-pop. Starts with a nice jazzy...guitar... Pretty female vocals. Spoken male vocals at times change it up nicely (over that jazzy progression). 3 Apples High, an Austin Texas product, mix influences like Sugar Ray. I like this better." -The Alt-Pop MP3 Review "Quirky Power Pop with a female singer whose child-like inflections are sure to put a smile on your face. 3 Apples High's bubbling analogue synth pops and bursts and solid songwriting make you feel like you have just walked into a cartoon candy store." -Listen.com |
