Artist History
On a brisk winter night in 95, a few local musicians got together for the sole purpose of having fun. Four years later, the objective hasn’t changed. What has changed is Sideshow Bob. The band has grown from basement bar darlings to regional powerhouse, selling out shows throughout the northeast. From their emergence in State College(where they hold attendance records) to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia(where they have just recently set attendance marks) to ever growing markets in Maryland, West Virginia, and Massachusetts, the band never fails to deliver its trademark high energy shows. Along the way, the band has coordinated sponsorships with Airwalk, Coors, and Budweiser and has produced a series of sold out shows in conjunction with elite booking agencies such as Cellar Door and Dicesare Engler. The band was recently a main stage feature at the 1999 Surge Festival. In April 96, Sideshow Bob released its debut album “Have We Met”. It sold 1000 units in its first week. The radio success of “As She Says” prompted an additional 2000 units. A little more than a year later, they delivered their sophomore CD “Untucked”. “Untucked” garnered high praise and easily outsold its successful predecessor. Songs such as “Monkey Business”, “Genius”, and “So Happy” have become staples on stage. In March 1999, Sideshow Bob released their third album, “Dig the New Steps”. “Fer-de-Lance”, “Falling in All Over Yourself”, “Marie Antoinette”, and “Chinese Finger Torture” (all featured on “Dig the New Steps”) immediately became crowd favorites. With three CDs in the last three years, Sideshow Bob continues to push themselves to the larger scale. As always, their intentions are to take their music to as many people as possible. |

Press Reviews
“At a time when superficial, groomed approaches to mainstream music seem to be running rampant, it’s refreshing to find up-and-coming acts whose first purpose is to have fun”(Billboard, January 97)"Check this band out, you won't be disappointed."(MTV Online) |
