Artist History
Merge Left formed from the mind of Tim Hall in 1992 in Chattanooga, TN. The original premis of the music was to place different artists from a variety of elements together, shake 'em up, and see what happens... or to "merge" them. These sets in the early nineties led to a rock/jazz funk fusion, which actually was a bit of a surprise. In '95 Merge Left was placed aside. Luckily in 1999, at the urge of Triangleman and Culture Shock of Chattanooga, Tim tried it again. In 2000 Merge Left released Temple of the Sun, which was purchased by a Navaho man in New Mexico... and nobody else. That's okay, (with such hits as Alone and The Redneck Song) Tim thought it sucked too. NOW Tim has joined with another set of artists and is working on something completly new. |
