Artist History
I grow up in Denmark, bus as a child I once got a postcard sent to me by my aunt, who had gone on a trip to Ireland. The picture showed the green hills in county Wicklow, where little white fluffy sheep were roaming about. That was the moment I knew I wanted to be – a shepherd! You know one of those who sits back underneath a tree and watches the herd eat happily off the fields, whilst playing a tune on the tin whistle as the sun goes down. Well, maybe there’s not a lot of resemblance with reality in my perception of a shepherd’s job, but there was a lot of heart in it, so much that about 12 years later I went off to seek those green fields on that picture postcard. Now, since I have never actually learned how to play the tin whistle and I must admit don’t know much about sheep, I opted for pursuing the job as a folksinger. Some people might say I would have had a bigger chance trying to realize my dreams of becoming a shepherd, but let’s not go further into that. Now, I have spent a good bit of time going to hear different gigs, and finally I even got my guts together to go up there myself - Singer/songwriters sessions in “ the International bar” and not to mention the folk club in “the Norseman”. This summer’s holiday brought about my very first demo-CD with great help from my family and the sound technician Sune Hummel from MoSound in Denmark. And though sometimes I wonder, what I’ll be doing years from now, there is one thing I’m sure of and that is, that no matter where I’ll be - a shepherd or singer, my day and my evening will always have a song. |
