Artist History
Canadian artist Len Hawco has taken his guitar global, tearing up the club scene with guest appearances in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. After picking up the guitar at age 5 with his first live performance at age 15, he's been rockin' ever since. After taking a jazz diploma major in guitar at Saint Francais Xavier University for two years and courses in record producing, studio engineering, and management at Trebas Institute of Recording Arts. Len took his talents global. He played with several bands around Canada for years such as (Crossroads, Deviance, and Private Collection, to name a few). In 1995 he moved to Sydney, Australia and technically produced events that included acts such as James Morrison, Invertigo, and Taxi Ride. In 1998 Len moved to Wellington, New Zealand and became a regular at the Blue Note in Wellington. Doing guest appearances and jamming with artists who came into town on tour like Janet Jackson's rhythm section and other New Zealand artists. CD " Liquid Tele'" was completed in May 2000 and has been climbing the instrumental guitar rock charts since. Most of the material on the CD was done in one take and improvised all the way. Solid melody's that tell stories backed by solid groove. "A Chemical Fusion" as he describes it! Now Living in Melbourne, Australia he's working on a fourth project due out in late 2002. Stay tuned and buy a CD if your modem is to slow to stream. |
