Artist description
I/O is short for input/output. Our music is a strange hybrid of sound; sort of loud, sort of soft. Armed with only a keyboard, guitar, microphone and laptop, we aim to alter the course of music history (or at least make some money). |

Artist History
I/O stands for input/output or indecent oratory or whatever we feel like at the time. The band was started in 1995 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Formed out of frustration, I/O has remained true to onething...which seems to switch around on us all the time. Our sound has been described as a mix of industrial, dance, and rock, with an 80's kind of twist or IDaR80T for short. Although were getting ready to play out, at least one of us has severe agrophobia and keeps saying " The Art of Noise was just a bunch of studio musicians...look how well they did." We'll let you know when we get things together. Somehow we've managed to release two albums. The first was an EP in '96. It sold well enough to make our money back. ON 9/9/99 we released DAMAGED COMMUNICATION ADDICT. But due to some MTV conspiricy we were unable to attain much press coverage. Our media blitz is renewed and if you are unfamiliar with the name I/O just look on the back of almost every piece of electronic equipment. That's right, we were able to secure a deal with most of the big companies to put our name on the back of their equipment. Not bad huh? Anyway check out some of our music, if you like it there is no better way to show it than to buy a CD. Check around the Pittsburgh area. By the way, all of the above info is 100% true, after all you read it on the internet. |
