Artist History
Down Division was formed in September of 1994 with Bill Blewitt (drums),
Chris Carroll (bass/vocals), Ryan Hagerty (guitar/vocals) and Joe McCloskey
(guitar/vocals). They recorded their 8-song demo in November of that year.
And then, again, recorded in June of 1995 their 'fall' album with 15 songs
that showed the growth of a newly energized punk rock band unlike any other
in Philadelphia.
In the fall of 1995 Ryan graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia and
moved home to Allentown, PA. Bill quit the band to go to college. John
Tangradi went on to replace Bill on drums and Down Division went on to be a
three piece playing shows in Philadelphia and New Jersey. During this time;
the band recorded 10 songs (yet to be released) called the |
