Artist description DESERT * REIGN was an accident, pure and simple. Four songwriters got together back '94 to have a few beers and try out what was yet another musical collaboration for each of them. The 'here we go again' attitude of the experienced and somewhat jaded group quickly gave way to inspriation though, and excitement followed soon after; this was something different - there was a magic in the mix of talents and styles, and the songs were coming fast and easy. Over the next few years, the group secured some publishing deals, but the tunes just weren't getting heard . Steve Chez had had enough. He rallied the troops, told the guys it was time to get their own songs heard, and Desert Reign was born.Well, it worked. The first radio single "Forever In Your Eyes" came 1 spot shy of top 40 status across Canada, and that after only 8 weeks of radio play. In mid-December '99 it was released to Europe where it is currently being played in Ireland, the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands, and Belguim. The tune has also joined a European Satellite feed that includes 37 Countries, and a U.S. radio program that feeds 82 stations nationally.After the success of the first single the band decided to shoot a video for the second radio release "She's Not Askin' For Much". The second single has just been released to radio in Canada and the video will be playing soon on CMT, with a pitch to GAC in the states up and coming. Desert Reign is also planning on a European release of "She's Not Askin' For Much" sometime in April. The band is currently recording tracks for their first full length CD, the album should be available sometime in the late Spring.
