Artist description
Latex Records views the underground subculture as a community of small circles comprised of individuals. In this community, the goal is to support one another instead of competing for top status. The small businesses and the striving entrepreneurs are the backbone of any great society, and the Underground is no exception. The denizens of this community understand that the Internet is a global neighborhood, and that by supporting one another, not only within our local communities, but globally as well, we all help each other to grow and to benefit the world.
Latex Records artists are those in the gothic, industrial, and/or electronic music scenes unafraid of exploring mysticism, magick, myth, and the deeper recesses of the subconscious.

Artist History
Initially the label opened it’s online doors on March 15th, 2002, and should have taken the subsequent events as a sign—the then shopping-cart moderator refused to sell to us due to the ‘questionable content’ of the merchandise, namely the fetish imagery. Unfortunately, our stubbornness and punk-rock attitude to fight the mainstream won out and we kept the images for another year, much to our financial detriment. On a positive note, during that time, our friend Joi at GotBlack.com introduced us to his side venture, Inexo, Inc., which currently handles our shopping cart needs.
The main drive of Latex Records remains the same as ever–to support the indie underground scene by giving unknown and underappreciated artists the chance to be heard. Whether releasing material through the Latex label, or distributing existing merchandise, Latex Records is committed to supporting the little fish in a sea of corporate sharks. Latex works closely with various labels, shops, and online merchants to ensure that those who deserve recognition receive it.
