Artist History MESS AGE began its activity in march 1998 as the result of a meeting of musicians from two Tri-city projects: ALIENATOR and AGE CRISIS. The outcome of the meeting is: Rafal Kawalerowski - vocals, Joanna Paszke - vocals, Alex Kopczynski - lead guitar, Sylwester Rybczyk - rhythm guitar, Andrzej Osmalek - bass, Dominik Kolodziejczak - drums. In October 1998 the first demo album "RESURRECTION" is recorded, thanks to which the band succeeds in appearing on Tri-city metal music scene. After the début a lot of reviews appear, both in underground magazines and in official press (MORBID NOIZZ, METAL HAMMER, THRASH'EM ALL). The appearance of the band not only on the scene but also in the magazines enables it gradually to conquer fans of such music. The next recorded and published by their own expenditure is demo album "FALLEN" - recorded in KRATER studio in 1999. Thanks to successful promotion of this material the interest in the band increases. The best example of that fact is increasing number of local concerts and invitations from outside hometown. In connection with the development, not only musical, an official internet homepage appears (made by Mariusz 'Achtanga' Stelagowski from MULTUM IN PARVO WEB-MAGAZINE). In march 2000 the band participates in a part of a HATE and YATTERING tour around Poland. The same month the visits a studio for the third time - and this time it is RED STUDIO in Gdansk (including O.N.A., Acid Drinkers, Vader) and Piotr Lukaszewski as a realiser. In exactly the second anniversary of the band's foundation the third material appears - "REBORN". Similarly to the previous publishings, the band independently takes care of the promotion and distribution. Persistence and consequent aiming result in more frequent appearance of MESS AGE's tunes in various compilations, abroad too. The best example is MORTARY KHAGE PRODUCTIONS (USA) giving out a collection supporting Polish underground. The interest of radio programmes increase as well. The band's music appears on 'RADIOSTACJA' from Warsaw or 'RADIO PARK FM' more and more frequently. In July 2000 "REBORN" finally appears as an official publishing supported by DEMONIC RECORDS - demo album released as a split album together with SHADOWS LAND. The next success is a marking out on festival in Chmielno, where a friend of the band Piotr 'Zvierzak' Kawalerowski (GHOST) stood in for Andrzej Osmalek. This was the second festival marking out, the previous one was during a festival in Starogard Gdanski. In September 2000 Joanna Paszke leaves the band and ever since is a member of another band from Gdansk. At the same time preparations and organization (by the MESS AGE's members) of the first edition of THIRD MILLENIUM FESTIVAL in Gdansk. Where MESS AGE gives a performance next to CHRIST AGONY, DOMAIN,YATTERING, SCEPTIC, DEMISE, ETERNAL DEFORMITY, MEDEBOR, ECLYPSE. November is a period of the first gross tour of the band next to YATTERING, SUPREME LORD (on tour also appears DECAPITATED and NYIA) within the framework of DARKZONE TOUR 2000 (amidst Gdansk, Bialystok, Olsztyn, Tarnow, Krakow, Rzeszow, Katowice, Staszow). Year 2000 is finished with MESS AGE's first and second place in the web-magazine MULTUM IN PARVO ranking concerning the ability of downloading songs in MP3 format. Presently, the band is preparing new songs, this time for full-time album, not forgetting, of course, about concerts. The proof of that is a common performance within the framework of VADER, DECAPITATED and TRAUMA tour around Poland planned for March 2001.
