Artist description chainway were found in 1997 to blast the underground with new ideas and songs beyond from cliche and marketing-plans. in 2001 it became a quintet and more brutal than ever. the base is new-school-hardcore with elements from metal. complex and nevertheless compact songstructures are chainway's trademark. heavy, elaborated guitarriffs meet sophisticated drumming and polyphonic, raging shouts. the lyrics reflect aggressions, personal experiences as well as global themes.life is a permanent development and you never know what's coming next - therefore the band won't be pushed in some sort of specific corners and keep their freedom as artists. but if you really want to give it a name, call it “metalcore“.
