Artist description I live, sleep and breath music. Its the most important aspect of my life, so I have made it my life. I see myself as a songwriter above anything else, I have a desire to tell stories and inspire through song. Guitar has become my primary instrument now, replacing drums and I continue to learn anything I can. Hip-hop is another passion and I keep stepping it up, having just written my first solid full rap song. I am still experimenting with beat production and just starting into the technical world of recording. My goal is to become as well rounded as I can be.

Artist History Age: 20 I was born august 4 1982, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I grew up the youngest in the family with an older sister and an older brother. The first album I ever bought was ‘the Fat Boys are back’, and even though I liked it, I didn’t get into hip hop until the beastie boys enlightened me until around 7th grade. In the mean time I was listening to the Beatles, Led Zep, Bush and classic rock. I started playing drums after one of my best friends Scott Murray started playing guitar. We jammed together and later started playing with Andrew Mott. We never had the desire to write songs or play gigs; we were all about just letting it go unrehearsed. I bought my first guitar in May 2001 and later moved to Calgary and away from my friends to attend the U of C. I was taking sciences and soon found out that nothing was going to come between me and my acoustic guitar. I started writing songs, then made my first 2 records: Highway and For George. After a Trip to Victoria to visit my musical mentor Callum Paterson, I figured out what path I had to take and started following my dreams. Soon after I started to understand Calgary’s limitations, I decided to move again, to Canada’s nucleus. Since then my writing has taken huge steps and my playing keeps improving. I am currently attending the Harris institute, the country’s top industry school and experiencing industry life at every opportunity. Everything is going to plan and I keep moving towards my goals. The industry will undergo massive changes in the next few years (Girl-band domination + Hip-hop’s coronation) and I intend to be in the middle of it.
