Artist History As a toddler barely able to walk, Js dad turned him on to the keyboard, and music has been a part of his life ever since. J has submerged himself in music.....involving himself from every angle. Multi-talented, J is a professional audio engineer for both live and studio as well as a business professional in M.I. He is also a studio musician most recently contributing guitar work on the debut album for up-and-coming pop singer, *Ashley Garland. Additionally he has been composing, arranging, recording and producing for singer/songwriter *Amy Jo. But his true passion is making the music. J has been playing professionally since he was fifteen years old. His first pro project was with the contemporary hard rock band, Bellicose, whose hard-hitting single album release made its mark. After a string of projects ranging from blues to rock to new age with such bands as DV8, Music Of The Spheres, Sector 7 and Bone Daddy J went solo. Spending the last several years on his own J has been able to concentrate on the jazz in which he has dabbled for years. With heavy influence by such renown artists as Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Marvin Gaye, J brings his own fresh style of jazz his original songs. The mellow and melodic sounds are both alluring and challenging. It is his intention to continue to push the jazz envelope. Js new jazz album *In A Hurry... will be released in September, 2003. And, keep your eyes open for another of J ’s unique projects in the offing, *moskeeta, a funk/rock fusion band, or as J likes to call it...funk and roll... Ashley Garland’s debut album Twist Of Fate is due out in June 2003 Amy Jos next album, It Sounds As If... will be released in August 2003 moskeeta album, nufunk, is currently available
