Artist History Alterior Motive started out with Gideon and Jerome. They werent exactly a band, just two kids that enjoyed playing covers. After some time Jerome suggested to Gideon that Elie might be interested in singing for them. Elie then told the rest of the band that he had a friend named Rodion who played the bass and would wanna join the band. Once the band was formed they went through many names such as AudioBoxer, Kobold, Undecided, One Way Ticket, Chimerical and The Union, but none seemed to work out. There was always at least one person in the band that disagreed. After realizing that the bands name wasnt half as important as their music was, they all decided on the name Alterior Motive. Many practices went by, yet Rodion managed to skip them all. Finally one day when he showed up, the rest of the band realized that his being in the band wasnt going to work out. The next day, Elie and Jerome got a call from Gideon saying that he found a bassist. David had been playing the guitar for quite a while, so switching to bass was not hard for him. When the band finally got together for a practice with David, they were happy with the way they sounded. Davids ability to create a bass riff that fits perfectly with Gideons guitar riff in a matter of seconds really helped the band progress.
