Artist description
In the midst of Boulder's jam band scene, Wake Up Jeff plays a type of power pop/punk rock with catchy lyrics, strong vocals, and heavy guitar. The band formed in June of 2001 after Pete, Pat, Cody, and Will, all accomplished guitar players, decided to make it all work by focusing their efforts on the band. The first gig was in March of '02 at the Catacombs in Boulder, CO. This past summer was spent developing their latest recordings at AirStream Studios in Arvada with producer KC Dunn. Highlights of the bands demo includes the blues riffed "Mr. Steele," rock anthem "Figure it Out," the easy-going fan favorite "Patchouli," and the Beatles cover "Back in the USSR." Wake Up Jeff's catalogue of songs is about 30 deep, including an array of covers, from the Beatles to Radiohead and everything in-between, including Weezer and house favorites from Bon-Jovi. The Band usually brings in a good sized local crowd of friends and fans. |
