    Artist History
I start to listen to blues in the mid sixties because around that time the blues came to Sweden ... I was surounded by people who listen to Jazz and converted to blues. The most important influence came from one of my elder sisters and her friends and a local blues hero called Peps who introduced uss all to the blues ... I bought my first guitar (Aucuctic) when I was 14 (1965) because every boy must be able to play at least "House of the rising Sun" and/or to play some tunes on Harmonica to get a girlfriend ... I practised my guitar-playing during som ten years but never played anything for anybody else because i was surrounded by so many gifted musicians in my opinoion. So I concentrated on other important things without playing anything, until the summer of 1999 when I was on holiday in a small town in southern Sweden with my girlfriend. During the festivities there we listened to a gifted Blues artist called Homesic Mac and where much impressed. After that I decided to give meself another chance as a Blues-Player. I start to practised bought myself an electrical guitar (Fender Stratocaster copy) and two aucustic guitars (One new Ibanez and one vintage Levine from ca 1975). I then heard about a Blues Jam open for everybody at the famous "Stampen" (The Pawnshop) in the old town in Stockholm. I went to Stampen with my guitar for the first time in the autum of 2001. I asked if I could go up and join the musicians for a song or two - the Boss (Brian Kramer) said OK - and so I got up and played for an audience on the bandstand for the first time in my life. I didn't felt I did sound that good but afterwards some people said to me it was OK. S I decided that I should give it another try. End of story is that I have been there many times now (Each Saturday afternoon)and learned me a lot. After a while I have been on stage at some other places - and there is allwasys some people who likes old time blues that says to me that they liked it. So now I feel a little more confident about my talents - and I'm ready to take the chance to go up and play as often as I get the chance. Lately I have written a couple of oldtime blues songs that I have performed in different places - and it seems that people likes it. I havev made a lot of friends on these occations so hopefully I can perform with some of them as a more normal blues group in the future - for instance with somone who play harmonica, base and so on ...
