Artist History
Kenton and Daniel began playing together in various bands around Tucson, Arizona some time in 2000. However, unsatisfied, they still searched for their perfect match. What is now Latchkey Child began in the summer of 2002 when Jeff moved to Tucson and met Kenton at "band camp". Jeff enjoyed playing the Funk styley, and thats what Kenton was looking for. Together, many songs were written with this incredible bassist with monsterous hands. It was amazing how quickly the songs came together. There was only one problem..they needed a singer that would lay down some vocal tracks for these songs.. On a lovely Sunday night, Daniel found out that one of his closest friends had a voice that could carry very well, and could reach notes others couldn't. Thats when John auditioned to be in the band.. Ever since the final okay, this mix of talent, later coined Latchkey Child, has been writing music, recording, jammin' on stage, and having a whole lot of fun...Their music is a nice blend of Hard Rock with a hint of Funk along with soaring melodies. Their musical tendencies together with a freewheelin'summersurf attitude create an amazing style. Give it your own name if you want..Check it out.
