Artist History Hugly was conceived about 4 years ago by founding member Eric Phillips. Along with drummer Ron Hudy and bassist Josh Hanson, who joined Eric around 2 years ago, Hugly strives to write creative and insightful music that doesn't easily fall into any of today's "popular" labels. Hugly draws on alternative, folk, rock, and punk influences in forming it's sounds and relates it's lyrics to life experience and modern day events. The band has performed several local gigs including popular spots such as the Boston Bar & Grill and the Lift Ticket Concert Series, which is a monthly summer concert series that benefits Shadetree, a local women's and children's shelter. Hugly will be releasing it's first full-length, self-produced CD in July 2003.
