Artist History
80 Grit Quiet was born back in 1998 by brain child Keith dal Pozzo. At the time the lineup was different, the music was different, and the band was called Hour Zero. After a few years of playing and writing songs and almost getting thru with a 67 song demo, they decided to call it quits. Keith moved to Cleveland for a while to get away and relax. A few months after returning to sunny santa barbara, he met Donnie who was looking for a new project. He was used to play music more along the lines of the funk and metal, and polka, but decided something new might be a good idea. The two wrote and rehearsed for a just under a decade until Brian (now of Mad Caddy fame) joined the ranks. Six months later Bryan left for bigger and better things. He was replaced with Dave (Of Boston Mass fame) and and six months later Donnie bailed for rockstardome (which by the way failed, miserably). With Jamie (ex Marvel) filling the bass requirements now they got back to it and started recording a demo. What has to be the slowest studio in the world, continued to lag with the demo for months. During which time Jamie left for another project. They continued writing and putting songs together and somehow Donnie slipped back into the lineup and Dan appeared out of thin air (he does that). The two guitar assault gives the band more depth and greater diversity. Plus Dan jumps around. Look for them in and around SoCal and ask them about their demo. They'll probably tell you it's rad. Cheers.
