Artist History
The band was formed in the summer of 2001 under the name The Reliance. It started from previous bands falling apart. Two of the members from the old band (falling out) Ken-e and Dave started writing some songs. Ken-e invited his best friend Kevin who was currently drumming for Once And For All to come jam with them. Once And For All unfortunately broke up, and Dave Ken and Kevin started jamming a little more seriously. After about three songs, Dave invited his best friend Andrew Linden to sing for the band. After about 4 months of practice they started playing some shows, and recorded there first CD entitled “The Epitome of Self Defeat.” Bill was next to join the band. Bill had been in Kevin’s previous band once and for all. A few shows were played with this line up until the band released Andy of his singing duties. Along came ray and after a few months of practicing with ray, the band recorded another EP entitled “The Sounds Of The Aftermath.” We then decided to change our name to When Reason Fails, for many diffrent reasons.
