    Artist description
Shiver was formed in 2002 as part of a side project for the band Rock Hollywood. The members of Rock Hollywood were looking to explore their musical talents further and develop a more distinctive style based on the dallas music scene. Some of the latest acknowledgements for the band would include being members of Hollywood High, being recognized by major recording labels, and having two songs played on 97.1 the EAGLE. Other past accomplishments include Hello (a grunge rock band from the mid 90's). Shiver is currently recording an album at "IF" Studio in Greenville. The album titled Wake Up the Sun is scheduled for release on 08.27.02.

    Press Reviews
Review by Jamie M. Formed in the late 1997 from the 90's grunge rock band Hello. When members Jonathan Bunch and Patrick Hodapp made a serious decision to get back into the music industry. They had other responsiblies keeping them from really blooming into the group they wanted. Then in 2000 August, they both thought why not try again? Struggling to come as a whole, once they got the right bassist, things finally got to moving; still slow but, at least it they're moving right? There's not much on this band to really get a good analyzation on but, currently they are in the studio in Greenville working hard to get their album titled 'A Safe Haven'.. possibly slanted for this Summer. The band has a 1999 demo song on the Ocean Drive Recordings site titled, 'Day Glow Fury' it's in Real Player. I can definitely tell from this song what the band plans on for their selves. A very unique collage of original rock. I first get the taste of the band, The Calling, [mixed with children playing and birds singing in the background] first few seconds which leads straight to the simple guitar and drums in perfect sync; a delight to hear. They mix sounds of the 70's style with the 90's style rock. While the guitar is strumming like Led Zeppelin, the drums and bass is right together with the edginess of the later 90's Hollywood style man!.. can you dig it? I'm impressed with their official site which, is still being updated so, there's not much. But, if you check their site you'll see the site matches Patrick, Jonathan and Brian's styles of personalities which, is fresh and spontaneous. Spontaneous is the word; from their song "Whoever you areeeeeee......" Yeah right on! It's a spontaneous poppy rock beat that gets stuck in your head immediately. You may think, you hate songs like that. Seriously, it's a pleasure to hear this song in my ear all day. It's a like a uplifting poppy flower child gone 90's style on a clear day in the meadows of a sunflower field. Yeah yeah, I know; just listen to the song, I think you will agree with me, at least that's what I'm thinking you'll do.
