Artist History
It all started with the band Educated Guess. This band consisted of Adam Pierson on Drums, Peter Beck on Guitar and Vocals, and Andrew McLaughlin on Bass and Vocals. Educated Guess made a 6 song demo in the spring of 2002 and then decided it was time for a new sound. They got rid of their bass player, Andrew. Educated Guess now just consisted of Adam and Pete. They still practiced and wrote songs together. They started getting tired of being an incomplete band. They asked their friend Chris McAleer, who was learning to play the bass at the time, if he would be interested in joining the band. Then Pete decided it would be better to have two guitar players, so they just asked friend Dominic Cundari to join the band also . That was the start of the new Educated Guess. They became a four piece emo/rock/punk/heavy band. They now practice every chance they get in Adam's basement, and after playing a few shows together, they decided that their name doesn't fit the style of music they played. They changed their name to Summerset. Summerset continues to practice and play local shows and is writing songs, and they just realeased thier first demo together. |
