Artist History
stroma came together in the fold of 2002 when darren brewster (vocals/guitars) and paul mauer (guitars) met through a mutual friend at a bar. it didn't take much more then a single jam to know there was something happening musically here. after a month of song writing they decided to start trying to get a band together. it was then that paul called friend rupert wild (drummer) to join, as luck would have it he lived in the same community as darren so then after an 8 month drum hiatus rupert sat back down behind the kit once again. with a drummer in hand paul called his brother mark mauer (bassist) and asked if he would be into joining the band, as luck would have it again mark's band had just broke up and he was looking at new horizons. once again after the first jam there was something happening musically here. alas mark had feeling of wanting to do something differet we have parted ways (on a friendly level). although mark has sat in on the recent recording sessions. |
