Artist History
Playing the club and coffee house circuit for the past 14 years, Lang began honing her live performances in the clubs and coffee houses of Dallas,TX, fronting the popular Folk/Rock band JERICHO. Hitting it hard for 6 years, Lang relocated to the Green Mountains of Vermont for a little R&R and soul searching. Playing in cover bands in the ski resorts and clubs of Vermont, Lang never stopped writing music. In 1999, Lang along with local fave guitarist Dave Domenick pulled a few other local musicians into the studio and recorded the 3 song CD, Marcy Lang. Track #3, "I LIED" quickly became a crowd favorite. 6 years later , Lang longed for the city lights again and relocated to Providence, RI, guitar in hand and a crop of new material and ideas. Now playing solo, Lang has slowly been developing a following and a name for herself in the Ocean State. The new songs keep flowing and the first full length CD project entitled "NAKED" is scheduled to be completed in time for an early Summer 2003 release. Her powerful, booming voice, and raucous guitar playing are not to be missed, Get in on the ground floor and prepare for the ride of your life. |
