Artist description
Two weeks before a battle of the bands in Fayetteville, Arkansas, three friends decided to form a band in the hopes of just having fun while playing to a small crowd. So in September of 2000, Jeremy Little (guitar), Ryan Osborne (bass), and Corbitt Shoffner (drums) quickly wrote five original songs for the contest. On the rainy day of the battle, the three guys, who then called themselves Giuseppe, walked on the stage to play. After forty minutes of fun, jamming, and rock’n’roll, they walked off to a few cheers. They knew even before the judging at the end of the night that hell would have had to freeze over for them to win. But hey, it was fun.
In the fall of 2001, bassist Ryan had to leave the band. Soon thereafter, Wes Taylor joined the band as the new bassist and added new life and creativity to their music; Giuseppe then changed their name to fiasco. In the summer of 2002, the new fiasco went to the studio and recorded a professional-sounding, very rockin’ five-track demo of original music (well, there was one cover). Seeing what the band could accomplish, they decided in the fall of 2002 to bring their blend of modern rock and blues to the Fayetteville music scene. The trio’s goal: play rock’n’roll music and have fun…and maybe get some free beer out of it.
