Artist History
Grand Theft is what happens when three bored, sun-deprived musicians from
Seattle listen to way too much Black Sabbath and Grand Funk for
anyone's own good. Led by guitarist Crowbar Mahoon, this power trio developed
their own form of true '70s stoner rock, complete with love songs aimed at fast
food items (at which their one true hit, "Closer to Herfy's", got them slapped with
a lawsuit from the infamous Herfy's fast food giant). Their bright future was burnt to the quick in
1973 due to atypical rock-and-roll consumption (rumor has it Crowbar died soon after, choking
on a hamburger while lying in bed). |
