Artist History
THis whole dealio started about october of 2001, A young Joe and NIck wanted to make a band, so they said to each other "hey lets start a band" joe played bass, but he switched to guitar, and nick played bass. then they thought they might need a second guitarist, and andrew lived right down the street, so they let him in. so now they need a drummer. In comes the dashing young Anthony. Andrew met me through boy scouts (go ahead and laugh) and i needed a band. So joe and him went over to my house to hear me play, and i was horrible. But there are no drummers in edison, so i got it. so then 2 months go by with no talk of the band, i havnt even met nick yet. So then January 7th 02, joe and andrew came by t see if i gotten any better, and they were like ok play somthing, and i went all tre cool on it (no i still sucked), but anyway the next day Nick John McCoy IV and the rest of the as yet unnamed band came over for the first offical practice. yea so we played...fuseball that is, for a while until we realized, hey we better start actualy practicing, so then we did, and we did covers, and it sucked. THen andrews freind Vinny wanted to have a party, and said "hey guys can ya do it" and we said "o tay".
Ok so then the day of the first show EVER!!!!!!!! we got to vinnys house and set up our stuff. When we were done we went up in the garage attic to chill, and what wonder did we find in the attic?????????a very special very cool pig, named bacon, so we yoinked him and then went down to play the show. We started of with motivation my Sum 41, and half way throu the mic kicked out. so yea it didnt go to good. we only played half our set, becuase it went so horrible. And then we thought to ourselves, hey we should get a singer, cause we suck at it.
in comes Sam Philleps, we met her at the party, joe thought she was hot, she must be able to sing right? yea that was a great idea, so then we let her in the band an we made two organal songs, Dick-C and Kentucky Fried Donuts, which later became I remember. OK so now we have some songs and a singer, but we realy have never heard her sing, becuase the mic amp sucks. so then we play a show, nicks cousins party, and we record it via video, and we hear sam sing. is has been describebed by some as how people sng in showers. Yea so wow what are we to do. Joe wont let us kick her out, becuase he likes her, and "ok we will give her another shot". yea but it doesnt get much better.
OK so we play a few shows, well one more, but then the summer comes and andrew joe and nick went to 4H camp, and met taylor. And Taylor has his own record label and says "yea you can have a deal" , so then they come back we have a show at the Hamilton Street Cafe, wow this is huge
So we had no practice time, and we had, 2 new songs. and things went horrible, sam sucked at singing, joe cant keep time and his guitar kept breaking, and joes a cocky basterd and hes NOT tom delonge when he talks on stage, and everyone was just not so good. so thats it we need to blame this on someone, lets blame sam, we did and she got kicked out of the band and she cried, but she was out woohoo!
so thus starts a new chapter in the canadian revolution history. by the way you might be thinking to yourselves "my thats an odd name, the canadian revolution" well this is how the name came about.
the bands first name was Juno, becuase that was what poor people (i.e. nick john mccoy)n had to use for internet. then we played around with ideas, the big yellow wall, packaged goods, Unipony, o the list goes on and on. BUt then joe and andrew were watching Orange County, and the guy was all "hey let me get naked and start this revolution" or somthing like that and someone said "hey the band should be named the revolution" and someone ealse said "no the canadian revolution" and the two someones laughed for like 6 3/8 minutes, so that was the name. We dont realy rebel against anything tho
ok so we wrote 4 more songs, we got better, people started to know who we were, we played some more shows, and things were going spiffy, so yea now we are still in the recording process of geting money to do so, becuase we are poor. its been a year...and yea none of us died, so it went pretty good,
