Artist History Beneath The Twelve evolved through several bands over the past three years. The original band, named Reach, consited of Brad, Brian, BT, and our former singer Clair. We added a rhythm guitar player, Chis, after a few months. We played simliar music compared to what is heard now through Beneath The Twelve, though the music has taken enormous steps. A few shows down the road, Brian and Brad were disappointed with where their music was heading due to the lack of unity in Reach. Reach disbanded only to reform a few months later as Never Til' Now. This band had all the same members except Chris. The sound was much more mellow, but not as epic and energetic. Never Til' Now seemed fairly strong and united. After playing for a couple of months we recorded a demo consisting of some Reach songs and a couple of new ones. We were ready to start playing the gigs that were booked for December 2002, when unexpectedly Clair walked out. We were forced to cancel all gigs and find a new singer. On that same day we had BT run out and get the recent edition of Punchline, which is the Richmond area periodical informing people of upcoming shows for local bands. In that edition we found a classified for an "18 yr old singer looking for a rock band," so we gave it a try. Thats were Jill comes into the picture. Just about that same time we added our keyboardist, Chad. Jill and Chad were the perfect additions to our sound. Jill exploded with energy during rehersals and Chad strove to learn to play the piano with a band instead of solo. Over the next few months songs started to erupt out of nowhere. "BT" was coming into rehersal with a new song every other week. We were pleased with where they had ended up through all the mess. It was on to one more person, Whitey. With Whitey, Brian could unleash his solo power. From here we were ready to play the music we had drempt about for three years.
