With an intense style, blended with high quality lyracism, wit and power to express their thoughts, the Urban Prospeks have a wide range of ability to rhyme, sometimes battle-like, sometimes deep, and sometimes fuckin raging. Though they both posses the same skills, the individual styles of MCs Basik and Classik are both unique to themselves, with Basik's rugged and sreet style and Classik's mutli-syllable style, and when you put two lyracists like this together, shit gets torn up..

Artist History BaSik- Well i gotta tell it like it is......I fell in love wit hip hop in the early 90's. When i heard Sugarhill Gang doin their shit to rappers delight i fell in love. Then listenin to LL cool J rappin to "Mama said knock you out" That just opened the door right up for gangsta rap/hip hop. Basikly, i started really gettin into writin when i was about 14 in the 8th grade. I rap about anythin on the real. None that fake shit. This aint no Nelly gig we got goin on. But anyway when i was 15 i started recordin my shit in studio form. Started rappin wit cats like Esoteric, Akrobatik, Shynobi, and the Militant Niggaz. Me n Classik started this group up about a year ago, we couldnt record a cd due to non-stop bullshit between producers, my car accident which will slow down the cd for a while, and findin time to record. But lemme Garun-fuckin-tee you, this cd will be worth the wait. If you like hip-hop you'll like us. We aint just into gangsta rap, whether its beefin, bein up in the club or 9/11 shit. So peep it out aight...Holla @ ya boi! Classik-I'm 17 years old, lived in New B all my life, and been writin since about 12. I got more serious about my shit about a year later and decided that rap was somethin i wanted to do and thanks to me meeting up wit Basik a few years back, i'm on my way to achievin sumthin`. Some of the shit that youd probly find me bumpin right now are Nas, Bone, Wu-Tang Clan ('36 Chambers' is great to listen to when ur pissed off, trust me) , Eminem, and Busta Rhymes (although i thought 'Genesis' was kinda wack, haha). I don't remember the first rap song i ever heard, but the ones i was a big fan of as a kid that i can remember the most clearly are "Snoop`n Dre- Aint Nothin But a G Thang", "Nas- If I Ruled the World", "Bone Thugs~n~Harmony- Tha Crossroads", "Busta- Woo Hah!", "Dre `n Pac- California Love" and yes.. "Coolio-Gangstas Paradise" (c`mon now, i know ya'll remember that shit!). Needless to say, those are some of the titles that inspired me from early on to develope my skills to where they're at now, and best believe i aint stoppin here.
