Artist description Staylefish is a reggae/dub/ska band from London, Ont. The band has only collaborativly been together for one year now but as individual members, have had lots of playing experience. Since our grand introduction into the London music scene we have already established a powerful presence playing at such hot spots as the UWO, Call the Office and the Embassy. Our influences in music derive much from the fabled Orange County, California scene, which has produced such bands as Sublime and the Long Beach Dub Allstars. What makes us unique is we have taken the reggae dub style and added a touch of Staylefish. That touch includes powerful rhythmic reggae beats in the traditional style of Jamaican Dub, acoustic roots, funky slap bass and dance hall reggae style vocals. Mix all this together in the same fashion that one would combine sex and beer, and you get the fresh fusion sound of Staylefish.
